Water & Wine is a duo that plays and sings (mainly) their own work: poetic, Dutch songs about desire, love, booze and travel. With lots of interaction, fun and sometimes a sing-along. Ideal for performances at home and in the garden. Can also be booked as a relaxing intermission act at a conference or meeting.

The duo Water & Wine consists of Eric Jansen (1962) and Harm Peter Smilde (1966). We play poetic, Dutch-language songs about love, fame, travel and booze, among other things. Think of a mix of Bob Dylan and Everly Brothers with a touch of Johnny Cash, but in Dutch. We always keep it lighthearted and sometimes lean cozily towards cabaret, with audience interaction. Eric has been performing as a poet for years. He writes song lyrics, has four books of poetry to his name and was city poet of Culemborg in 2018. Harm Peter has played as a guitarist/singer in several bands. With the trio Godfried! he created songs from Bomans' fairy tales. A dose of Water & Wine stands for responsible levity with an edge of recklessness. And above all we make it a nice and cozy evening, in the house, in the garden or in a nice hall. Or provide relaxation - as a break or closing act - during a congress, meeting or conference.
