Lipstick Lush is an acoustic guitar and vocal duo performing a mix of familiar and surprising pop covers in an atmospheric acoustic setting! All this in an intimate setting, perfect for while enjoying a snack and a drink! There are also some real duets on the repertoire!
Armed with a guitar and their voices, Jaap and Eva perform a surprising mix of well-known and less obvious pop covers: from heartfelt ballads to rousing up-tempo songs. Think of songs by artists such as Stereophonics, Alanis Morissette, U2, Triggerfinger, Johnny Cash, Ilse DeLange, Coldplay, Oasis, and Ed Sheeran.
Their repertoire also includes genuine duets, which make the performance even more dynamic and surprising. Examples include “Calm After the Storm” by The Common Linnets, “No Surrender” by Kane & Carice van Houten, “Need You Now” by Lady A, “Make It a Memory” by Danny Vera & Jacqueline Govaert, and “Where the Wild Roses Grow” by Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue. And how about “Stumblin’ In” by Chris Norman & Suzi

I saw them live for the first time at "Peeking at the Neighbors" and was very pleasantly surprised. Their harmonies are refreshing and catchy. They have a wide repertoire of covers, which they perform in their own lovely, catchy style. I definitely recommend going to see them!!
