My name is Johan Daalman, a Dutch DJ, born in Vlaardingen , better known by my stage name Johan D. At the age of 17 I started mixing vinyl records. I was inspired by soul, disco/jazz music and later by the French composers Jean Michael Jarre and Giorgio Moroder.
My DJ career in house music began in the early 1990s as a radio jockey in Rotterdam. Soon after, I became resident DJ at Le Bateau in Rotterdam and played my sets in clubs in The Hague
and Scheveningen. In recent years Johan D. had gigs at Club NL in Amsterdam and hosted the Johan D. & Friends area at Crazyland in Zaandam and the 7th Heaven festival in Beesd, as well as weddings and private parties. Recently, I have also started performing at the Harbour Club in Amsterdam and Vinkeveen. Because of my extensive collection of music and years of experience as a DJ, no genre is foreign to me.
My motto is good preparation is crucial. I always speak to the client well in advance to go through their wishes, which is always much appreciated.

The communication was a bit stiff at the beginning but was straightened out by Johan. The dancing was a bit disappointing but that was because many people stayed outside to talk. Finally nice weather! The light-set was fantastic and so were the guests! I enjoyed this the most. Looked cool through the windows! Service and communication, see above!
