This summer, I’m taking a few weeks off and combining it with what I love doing most: traveling around in my cozy microcamper and making music in special places.
During Chiel’s Summer Tour, I’m available for intimate performances for small groups (± 30–40 people), at campgrounds, beach terraces, boulevards, or other atmospheric outdoor locations where music and good times come together.
This summer, I’ll be traveling through the Benelux and Germany in my mini-camper, and in exchange for my performance, I ask for a small expense allowance and, above all, a beautiful, inspiring spot to make music.
And if it works out: a spot where I can spend
the night in my mini-camper is, of course, always welcome—but definitely not required!
During these Summer Sessions, you’re not booking me for a standard set of music, but for a complete, atmospheric summer evening—fully tailored to your location and guests.

Chiel performed at our volunteer night. Presented neatly well in advance. Sound technically adjusted. Chiel handed out flyer in advance which had a QR code that you could use to choose your favorite music. Very handy. Nice performance, only with us it was a noisy crowd. Chiel comes into his own even better in an intimate setting.

The celebration of the 10th anniversary of our company in a park in Zeist, and there appears Poptroubadour Chiel: a wandering jukebox on harmonica and guitar, half Dylan, half Neil Young, but with the smile of a letter carrier who does arrive on time. He sings not before your guests, but ín your guests, as if music were not vibrations of the air but a collective hallucination. His app is pure magic: you call Hotel California and before you know it, he's playing it as if the Eagles were bivouacking at the campsite in Zeist for a night. Volume? Not a terror bombardment of decibels, but pleasant enough not to rush your aunt to the ENT doctor. From protest song to ballad, from U2 to Boudewijn, he chases them through with the suppleness of a gambler who always wins. Anyone who doesn't book Chiel actually deserves silence. For our party, he was not an act, but a revelation - a troubadour you don't hire, but undergo.

We had a birthday party in honor of becoming Sara and Abraham. This was held at a restaurant, where we had a delicious bbq. It was a quiet get-together with family and friends (about 50 people). Chiel who came halfway through and played several sessions. He walked among the people with his guitar/mouth organ. He had distributed lists around from which the guests could pick a request song.
