Thinking out of the box - how do you do it?

With BRAIN PICKING you go for a super interactive 30-minute show with actor Steef Hupkes. He opens the door of your imagination wide and breaks with the boxes in which you like to structure your daily life. He uses music and visualizes your thoughts. Music also releases another world in us, it stimulates the whole brain and enraptures us.

BRAIN PICKING is ideal as a warm-up for sessions and meetings where people are expected to think "out of the box" or start finding solutions. It is a low-threshold interactive show, for all levels of thinking and above all: laughter is allowed, it is funny and light-hearted and gives a boost to your creative brain!

Who is Steef Hupkes?

Steef Hupkes (1981) is an actor, theater maker and creative.
At the Kleinkunstacademie, Steef's talent is developed across the board. Acting, dancing, composing and singing; everything passes by. At school, together with Martijn Hillenius, Daniel Arends and Thijs Maas, he formed the cabaret group De Vier Gasten and graduated with the performance Carmen in the Kleine Komedie, directed by Titus Tiel Groenestege.

After the Kleinkunstacademie, Steef finds work in many places. Initially a lot on stage. He did his internship as an actor with Toneelgroep Amsterdam, played one of the leading roles in the musical De Jantjes with Joop van Den Ende Theaterproducties and made performances with theater group ZEP, Fantasten and with Annette Plays.

Besides theater he finds a regular role on TV in the series "Spangas" of the KRO-NCRV and the sinterklaasserie "Opweg naar Pakjesavond" at Nickelodeon. Also musically Steef finds his way and together with Sander van Munster and Dvid Pino he starts the band "De Breek" and at Christmas he is becoming a household name with "Stanley en de Menzo's" together with Jeroen Woe, Henry van Loon, Niels van der Laan and Martijn Hillenius.

For a few years now, he has also been developing behind the scenes as a director and writer. He created online "The Ricardo Santos Show" and in development are a number of formats in collaboration with NL Film the VPRO, Pellicola and Studio Pupil.
