Unwitting expert in unlikely choices. About self-direction, loss and discipline, combined with comedy.
About Robbert Charoe
Entrepreneur and successful salsa dancer Robbert Charoe unexpectedly went completely blind at age 37. A few months later, he had to choose to have his lower leg amputated. His world collapsed. Yet no matter what the doctors said, his passion for salsa remained stronger.
This is no cuddly pep talk about positive thinking; this is about iron patience, discipline, improbable agility, rock-hard loss and even tougher humor. And, of course, about identity, dreaming big and setting goals.
What makes this speaker unique:
- Robbert's story takes you past sheer hopelessness and impossible choices, through purpose, humor and discipline to making the impossible come true
- Robbert knows like no other how to make the link to other difficult situations in which
making choices, taking chances and being flexible play a role
- Robbert does not sell a motivating story that is short lived, but holds a life-size, realistic mirror in front of you, with a smile and a tear, that you will not easily forget
