In the escaperoom you are introduced to Positive Health and all aspects of it in a playful and accessible way. At the end of the escape game the participants are introduced to a number of key concepts. In the ensuing conversation they find out what they can do differently within their own work or roles, what they can no longer do or what they can do in line with this new health concept. Communication and collaboration are important to crack the code. Machteld Huber introduced Positive Health in the Netherlands in 2012. In this scientifically based concept, health is no longer seen as the presence or absence of disease, but as the ability of people to cope
with the physical, emotional and social life challenges and take as much control as possible. In this vision, health is no longer strictly the domain of healthcare professionals, but of all of us. After all, it is about the ability to cope with changing circumstances.
Thus, this new health concept offers an alternative to the definition of the World Health Organization (WHO)
Positive Health is the elaboration in 6 dimensions of the broader in 6 dimensions of the broader view of health. With that broader approach you contribute to the ability of people to deal with the physical, emotional and social challenges in life. And to take as much control as possible.
