The whole country has jumped on the back of Gers Pardoel's carrier. Hits like "Ik neem je mee," "Louise" and "Ma chérie" have a high sing-along rate and it is for this very reason that Pardoel is known in the Netherlands and Flanders.

Gers Pardoel's musical career began with collaborations within the hip-hop scene. He was discovered by Dutch rap formation Opgezwolle and released his first songs in collaboration with other artists. His breakthrough came in 2011 with the release of his debut album "Deze Wereld Is Van Jou." The album included the hit "Ik Neem Je Mee," a song that grew into a huge hit in both the Netherlands and Belgium and brought Pardoel national fame. "Ik Neem Je Mee" became the best-selling Dutch-language song of 2011 and established Gers Pardoel as a leading artist.

Gerwin (Gers) Pardoel (Nijmegen, May 12, 1981) is a Dutch artist. He became best known for the song Ik neem je mee (2011), which went on to become the biggest hit ever by a Dutch artist in the Dutch Top 40. Earlier, in 2009, Pardoel was also successful with the single Broodje Bakpao, a collaboration with The Opposites. Pardoel's debut album Deze wereld is van jou, released in November 2011, achieved platinum status in the Netherlands and was awarded gold in Flanders. Pardoel also scored hits with songs such as Bagagedrager (2012) and Louise (2014).
