Pearl Joseph Son is a singer, musical actress and singing teacher. She started singing playfully in church and was brought up musically at home by her brothers. After the havo Pearl attended the conservatory in Tilburg, direction Muziektheater. After graduating in 2008, she played in the theatre show Jeans and then in the musicals Hairspray and Legally Blonde, both produced by the musical production company of Albert Verlinde.

In 2010 Pearl participated in the first season of The Voice of Holland, where she stood out for her flawless voice and professional performance. She finished second. From that moment on her career as a solo artist is a fact. Together with Nick & Simon, she appeared four times in a sold out Gelredome with Symphonica in Rosso and won the TV show Van Popster tot Operaster.

In 2013 Pearl released her debut album The Time is Now, a crossover between pop and classical, recorded with a large orchestra at the famous Galaxy Studios in Belgium. In the spring of 2014 Pearl was in the theatre with a Dutch-language adaptation of the Matthew Passion, together with Jan Roth.

From September 2014, Pearl will shine as the lead actress in the musical Dreamgirls. This musical production will tour throughout the Netherlands from the end of September 2014 until February 2015.
