Marianne Timmer is a former Dutch speed skater. She specialized in the 500, 1000 and early in her career also in the 1500 meters. Timmer made her breakthrough at the 1994 World Junior Championships where she took bronze. In the years that followed, she specialized in the short distances and made history by becoming the first Dutch skater to win gold at two different Winter Olympics.

Recent heeft Marianne een inspirerende lezing gegeven op ons Business Partner Event. Een waanzinnig verhaal, glansrijke carrière, maar ook tegenslagen en dalen naast de vele pieken. Maar het is niet alleen de lezing. Marianne was heel de avond te gast en onderdeel van he geheel. Zoekend naar verbinding met onze gasten, onder andere aan tafel tijdens het diner maar zeker ook bij ontvangst en na afloop van het formele gedeelte. In onze reis naar het creëren van een community binnen de procesindustrie is dit zeer waardevol. Familiair, benaderbaar en mee willen opgaan in ons gedachtengoed. Al tijdens de voorbespreking enkele maanden voor het event was het gevoel al goed en wisten we dat we een juiste keuze hadden gemaakt om Marianne te koppelen aan ons business partner event. Ik kijk nu al uit naar de follow up van het event welke we binnenkort samen gaan doen!
