Orquesta Salsabor is born to salsa.

Orquesta Salsabor is an energetic salsa big-band with musicians from Cuba, Argentina, Venezuela and Holland. The group is playing classics from the traditional latin and salsa big-band repertoire from Cuba (such as Machito and Benny Moré). Aside Salsabor plays the New York Salsa Dura style from the 70s and 80s, the music coming from 'el barrio' in New York (salsa icons such as Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colon and the New York Spanish Harlem Orchestra).

Orquesta Salsabor has been active for around 20 years on Dutch and foreign stages. They have played on numerous festivals and salsa dance parties. The group has toured through Germany, Poland and recently Belgium, and produced a number of CDs (most recent one is called El Otro Sabor de la Clave).

Salsabor performs on a regular base at a series of self-organized venues throughout the season. This is spiced up every now and then by inviting international guest artists to feature us, such as Jimmy Bosch from New York and Maite Hontelé from Colombia.

Ingredients of a night with Orquesta Salsabor are catchy repertoire, swinging salsa tunes, good vibes and a very impressive fat sound!
