About Karin
Karin trained at the Academie voor Kleinkunst in Amsterdam. Even before she completed it in 1984, she was already winning awards and received the Pisuisse Prize. This is a special award for a student with the best theater performance within the Academy. Soon after graduation, she wins the Pall Mall Export Prize.
Over the years Karin continues to develop into the singer and actress she is today. Karin could be seen and heard in several musicals, films and TV and radio programs. For example, Karin's theater shows were broadcast on TV by the Vara. Later in her career, Karin won a Golden Harp, an Edison and the Annie M.G Schmidt Award. As icing on the cake, Karin Bloemen was
appointed Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau in April 2011.
