Ad van Wijk is known as the authority on hydrogen. During his lectures, Ad van Wijk will gladly take you through the possibilities and also the impossibilities of hydrogen.

Prof. Ad van Wijk started as scientific researcher sustainable energy at the University of Utrecht. He is currently an entrepreneur and professor of Future Energy Systems at TU Delft, which means he knows everything about sustainable energy. As a result, he is also seen as the figurehead of energy transition in the Northern Netherlands. As a professor at TU Delft, Ad Van Wijk is primarily concerned with the energy systems of the future. He also works at the KWR Watercycle Research Institute.

In the 1980s, Ad co-founded the company Ecofys, which later became part of Econcern. Ad was also the CEO of the company Econcern, which developed many new sustainable energy products, services and projects. Van Wijk worked for major clients such as the Municipality of Zwolle, Industrial Circle Berkelland, Tata Steel and Province of Flevoland.

He was named Dutch Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007 and Top Man of the Year in 2008. Ad van Wijk wrote several books on sustainability and energy, such as "Welcome to the green Village" and "How to cook an egg.
