About Frits:
Frits close involvement in politics begins at an early age when he founded the CDJA (CDA youth) in Alkmaar. Some time later he moves on to national politics and in 1985 he joins the CDA Lower House faction. There he became Head of Information and spokesman for party leader Elco Brinkman in 1990.
In addition to politics, Frits has another passion. An avid sailor, he dedicates himself in various ways to the sport and is, among other things, a member of the Advisory Board within Vinea Zeilscholen.
He is also an ambassador for charities such as Hulphond Nederland and Nationale Sportweek.
