Pop music with a touch of French chansons. Sarah Isabel, along with guitarist Raphaël van Helden, can be used on many occasions. Her repertoire ranges from English-language pop music to French chansons and has influences from cabaret and jazz music.
Sarah and Raphaël were in the preliminary training at the Rockacademie together in 2019 and both currently play in the Amstelveen Bigband PeeWee's Problem with which they toured Italy last summer.
Sarah Isabel van Heuven grew up in Culemborg, but has since flown out to Amsterdam. In recent years she has sung in several bands with which she performed at all kinds of venues around the country. In 2017 she won The Voice of Culemborg, with Ben Cramer in the professional jury. Sarah has organized her own concerts in the chapel of the Elisabeth Orphanage Museum in Culemborg and Theater aan de Slag. She also created her first full-length musical theater performance at the Gelderlandfabriek.
Raphaël was already fascinated by the
guitar as a small boy. When he was introduced to the music of Jimi Hendrix he knew for sure: I want to learn to play the guitar. He got his first lessons from Frank Mommers and then continued his studies at the Rockacademie, where he takes lessons from Ronald Seerden and Menno Gootjes. Raphaël now also teaches guitar himself at music school de Nieuwe Vaart and plays in several bands, including two Bigbands. He is graduating this year as a guitarist from the Rockacademie in Tilburg.

Searching on Showbird, we first heard Sarah. Her voice touched us. Clear and pure. Beautiful and calm. Then we found Sarah with Lisa. A cabaret duo. How nice! And Lisa with a guitar. How wonderful! The connection between the two girls is striking. It's particularly beautiful how harmoniously they perform a variety of songs together. One strengthens the other.
