Heleen Bartels provides atmospheric concerts at your home and on location. She also plays and sings regularly during funeral ceremonies. With the combination of harp and vocals she provides a surprising and varied programme. Her repertoire includes classical music as well as folk music and popular songs.
During a (house) concert I will take you to lovely French villages and rugged Irish coasts. I will tell you about the music I play and if desired I will also give an explanation about my instrument. I alternate instrumental pieces with songs in different languages. Wishes regarding the programme are welcome. The length of the programme can be changed as desired. The gage will be adjusted in that case.
During a funeral my music creates a warm and intimate atmosphere. Comforting and contemplative. I have an extensive repertoire of funeral songs. I like to take the time for consultation with relatives about the choice of music. Because of my experience I can often take care of this.

Heleen had a mini-concert at Elsloo Castle before the dinner in honour of my parents' 65th wedding anniversary taken care of for us. She fascinated young and old with her harp playing, her singing and her explanation of the instrument the harp The performance of the Ave Maria once led to the shedding of several tears, but her other pieces were also touchingly beautiful. For my parents it was a super surprise they still haven't finished talking about.
