Pompage plays wonderful swing music from the last century. The band performs both American and French swing (Gypsy Swing), and this beautiful music is performed in a style that stays true to the original arrangements.

With their swing jazz, this duo is the perfect background for your dinner party or celebration—surprising and virtuosic for the attentive listener, yet inviting for those who love to dance. Pompage’s swing leaves no one unmoved. The music is cheerful and danceable, with moments of delightful romance.

Bert Tielens plays the Stroh violin and sings. Wilco Spaans handles the guitar and provides the close-harmony vocal parts, and every now and then a singing saw makes an appearance.

This duo has a great feel for the atmosphere. We’re just as capable of providing cozy background music as we are of putting on a full-fledged performance. We’re completely flexible: we can perform purely acoustically in a small space or outdoors, but we can also use amplification. We take into account any activities that may already be planned and adapt accordingly. You can also use our microphones for your own announcements. We’ll work with you to figure out exactly what you’d like, but we’ll remain flexible.
