Rockabilly with a bite - that's Sjiekkita! Expect a spicy mix of accessible rock 'n roll and surprising hits from all eras. Tasty, cozy, danceable and always with a wink.
Sjiekkita is not your average band: we do not play straight what is meant to be crooked. That means quirky covers, lots of energy and songs that make you sing and dance along. A festive act for everyone who likes to swing without being too traditional.
Sjiekkita - Rockabilly with taste and spice!

Rockabilly, the precursor of rock 'n roll, originated in the early 1950s as an amalgamation of rock 'n roll and hillbilly. In the late 1970s, the style experienced a revival, known as neo-rockabilly, with the covering of modern hits taking center stage.
Sjiekkita builds on this principle. While many rockabilly bands limit themselves to authentically imitating the '50s sound, Sjiekkita opts for a broad musical palette: from rock 'n roll classics and sing-alongs from the Neue Deutsche Welle to modern pop and even French chansons. The result is an energetic, surprising and danceable show that appeals to all generations.

Practical:
* A performance lasts 1 hour as standard, but we also offer options up to 3 sets of 45 minutes.
* We are from the Eindhoven region. Within 50 km we do not charge travel expenses.
* We are not in possession of a sound system, you need to provide this including sound man, or we hire this at extra cost....
