When I went blind from one day to the next at age 11, it was immediately clear to me that my life could go one of two ways: sit pathetically behind the couch or seize every opportunity that would still be presented to me. I did the latter.

I can present my lecture in two different ways. I can take people into "my world" by blindfolding them to give them a good image to "trust people blindly". The second option consists of a powerpoint presentation in which I give a lecture about perseverance, (blind) confidence in one's own abilities and a positive attitude towards the world.
