Troubadour Paul Cherryseed has been singing heartbreaking, hopeful, inspiring, redeeming, fragile or cheerful folk songs since 2011 and gives performances under the title 'Paul sings Paul' or 'Terecht op weg'. There he tells little stories, and if necessary poems, word finds and other quips, and sings songs of himself and other Pauls. A performance is customizable and can be done anywhere.

Besides concerts, Cherryseed also gives kleinkunstachtige performances, in which I put together songs, poems, word finds and small stories under the heading "Paul sings Paul" (songs and stories) or "Terecht op weg" (performance about the journey as a troubadour, can be shortened). Mainly in Dutch, but an English song can always fit in. In 2023 he also gave two theater performances in Gouda, under the name 'Terecht op weg', with mostly Dutch songs. However, English is also possible, and he can also tailor the performance. He plays both subtle dance folk pop and hushed songs. His own songs, but also songs by other Pauls, such as Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Paul de Munnik, Paul van Vliet and Paul de Leeuw.

The price is 225 euros excl. given the preparations for the performance, this is really the minimum.

The second swinging folk album, 'The Story of Saint Anonymous,' was released in 2016 following his folky 2013 debut. In summer 2017, he took a musical trip through Brazil, and new songs with South American rhythms have been added to the rich folk-pop repertoire with a touch of gospel. The fourth album will be released in 2025.

By the way, at Showbird we can also be booked as a duo (incl. accordion) with English-language songs from these albums.
