For over a decade I've been developing myself as a guitarist and singer, creating a very personal style. You could call it 'alternative dream folk', with a touch of acoustic singer-songwriter. Still, the best way to experience my music is to listen to it yourself - you can find a couple of songs on this page.

What experience do I have?
In addition to fifteen years of personal growth in my guitar playing, singing and songwriting, I have also developed broadly by surrounding myself with music: I have played a lot with musicians of all shapes and sizes during jam sessions and have also had quite a few (professional) studio sessions behind me. I have been playing for years in front of an audience as a soloist in small and large catering establishments and at local festivals in the Alkmaar area. I have also played in the small and large auditorium of Podium Victorie, where I can be found again with my band in December 2024. This Showbird page is focused on my solo act, but so I am back in full swing tackling my songs with the band. I then have a drummer, bassist and guitarist alongside me; my music takes on an energetic and raw edge in this collaboration.
There is a studio album on my Spotify (Picasso's Lane - Anneleen, 2019), but it no longer taps into the music flowing from my heart today. That's why I occasionally post recent demos on my SoundCloud. I only write Dutch-language work anymore. I often post content on my Instagram account @anneleenmusic and on Facebook I can also be found under the name #####

What do my performances look like?
All I need is my acoustic guitar, the beautiful Neumann vocal mic and guitar mic I always bring along and good quality amplification. I create intimate, sensitive, authentic songs and can strike a sensitive chord or evoke a certain feeling of recognition in the listener with my sincere and honest words.
Do you prefer me to be a little more "present"? Then I'll bring my band and we'll provide rhythmic tunes so sitting still is definitely no longer a requirement!
Booking my act is always done in consultation - I like to think along about the structure of the afternoon or evening and how we can make it run as smoothly as possible.
I only sing my own material.
