For more than fifteen years I have been developing myself as a guitarist, singer and songwriter and have found my signature sound: dreamy Dutch indie pop, filled with true stories and life lessons. It's best to experience my music yourself - you'll find some of my work on this page.

What experience do I have?

Of my 25 years on this earth, in addition to seventeen years of intensive personal growth in my guitar playing, singing and songwriting, I have developed musically broadly by participating in jam sessions, entering professional music studios and working closely with my band members (see my second profile on Showbird for my band account - Dutch Dream Pop with raw and danceable edges).
I gained my first stage experience as an eleven year old bum, and from my later teenage years began to focus seriously on performing. As a soloist, I have performed in small and large (hospitality) venues and events and festivals. I have also been able to conquer the small and large halls of the largest pop venue in Alkmaar, Podium Victorie, with my music.
There is an English-language studio EP on my Spotify (Picasso's Lane - Anneleen, 2019), but that no longer taps into the music flowing from my heart these days. That's why I occasionally post recent demos on my SoundCloud. I am also most active on my Instagram account under the username anneleenmusic. Also on Facebook, under the name Anneleen, I share what I'm doing musically.
By the way, I only play my own Dutch songs.

What do my performances look like?

I play a beautiful acoustic guitar that I amplify with a Neumann MCM 114. For my vocals, I bring my Neuman KMS 104+ (phantom). These two microphones can be beautifully amplified by my Fender Acoustic Pro 200, so I have a full set-up of quality ready to put down and play through. I create intimate, sensitive and authentic songs, and can strike the sensitive chord or evoke a certain emotional recognition in the listener with my sincere and felt words.
