Myrthe van de Weetering and Héctor Hervás Veredas met on the train - Myrthe had just returned from a tour of Mexico with a klezmer band and Héctor had just performed in Belgium with a classical orchestra. Because they both had an instrument on their back, were traveling towards Utrecht and spoke Spanish, they started talking. It turned out they both loved the same music, had studied at the same conservatory and, more importantly, had the same positive attitude to life. Duo Sola was born.
Duo Sola plays pleasant classical and arrangements of pop music. Romantic string music during your marriage proposal, ceremony or a chic addition to your reception or dinner. Duo Sola has an extensive repertoire but can also play request numbers in consultation. Myrthe likes to consult with you to discuss the perfect musical interpretation.
They play acoustically or lightly amplified if desired, and are in possession of the proper equipment.

Overall, I could not be happier with my experience. The artist was very communicative before our booking--taking care to ensure that they were well-prepared for our event and had a good understanding of the vibe we were going for. Our event was a proposal and the artists showed up at the perfect time and were able to get themselves set up without us being present. In terms of music, they were extremely talented and played the perfect mix of songs for our situation. The volume was perfect and they fit into the ambiance so effortlessly. They were so kind and even gave us a gift to celebrate our engagement. I honestly can't imagine having a better experience and I'm so so thankful.
