The Sea Sound Big Band is known as a striking big band from Hellevoetsluis with a contemporary repertoire. The band rehearses southwest of Rotterdam in the harbour town of Hellevoetsluis and performs mainly in the Rijnmond region, but national requests are of course also welcome.
The orchestra has a recognizable and contemporary repertoire with a danceable mix of well-known swing, pop and Latin songs. Vocals play an important role in this. Many of the arrangements are made by orchestra leader Rob Catlender which gives the orchestra its own sound.
