Haight & Ashbury consider it their duty and privilege to chant and play that world, to make the world a 'we', and as long as their strings tremble and their voices resound the steely glances on the dance floor and celebrate the wine in the choir.

Haight & Ashbury are two gentlemen who, apart from the strict need to go through life impeccably dressed, refuse to think in absolute terms. Whether it's the pete discussion or their choice of repertoire; nuance is the key word. A bit of dittem (say, Whitney Houston), a pinch of dattem (e.g. Justin Timberlake) and a piece of sister (take Paul Simon), and nobody will know what a box is anymore. For the freedom that is experienced in uninhibited dance, in unsuspecting hymns or in stealthy looks on the dance floor, cannot be captured in ones and zeros. Haight & Ashbury speak the language of sunsets, of red wine and baguette in the choir, but also of smoky leather coats and shiny crests. Who is the same every day? Who doesn't often dream of a backpack and a map? Or even better: no map! The 'wide world', as it was written in the fairy tales. But that doesn't have to be a fairy tale.
