With his extensive repertoire, Hans makes it fun everywhere. From his own repertoire to songs by Hazes, Lee Towers, Jan Smit or Neil Diamond. Hans is a jack of all trades.
Hans van der Velde brings atmosphere and fun to every occasion
Hans, living in beautiful Gramsbergen, is a cheerful singing butcher with a very wide repertoire, both Dutch and English. Something for everyone, for young and old. He has been on the road for years and turns every party into a true celebration. In early 2020, the corona came and the gigs stopped, but not for Hans and his team. All summer he performed free of charge in gardens at all kinds of nursing and care centers in the region
and beyond. A mobile studio in the back of the car, a trailer with all the trimmings, to give people a full day's entertainment. It was often moving to see how this was appreciated, you see how music connects people.
After the summer it became too cold for outdoor performances, but doing nothing was not an option for Hans and his team. Theater de Voorveghter made its stage available and that was subscribed to but the theater is still closed. Soon the idea of live streaming came up. Janneke Boelens, friend and manager of Hans, takes care of the music and the live chat, as requesting requests is also possible during the livestream. Bertus Winters, Hans' regular sound engineer, music fanatic and computer geek, takes care of images, sound, technology and everything else involved. Hans did the rest with his golden voice.
