Martje van Damme (1991) is an expressive and classical Dutch pianist who gives concerts with dedication and devotion. She has gained experience on stages abroad as well as in the Netherlands.
In Düsseldorf she obtained her Bachelor cum laude at the Robert Schumann Hochschule. Subsequently she followed the master course with David Kuyken at the Royal Conservatoire, which she also successfully completed in 2018. In addition to solo recitals, she is also very fond of chamber music and plays in the Artist piano duo together with the Spanish pianist Inès Costales. Martje has a Grotrian-Steinweg on loan from the National Musical Instrument Fund.

Martje knows perfectly how to translate the atmosphere of an intimate house concert into elegant and sensitive playing in which she adds an extra dimension to even the more familiar pieces like the Mondschein sonata. Especially with Granados you feel the intense pleasure with which she plays. Granados is in her fibers.
