Downtown District is a young, energetic, crappy punk rock band from Leiden. Wild drums, sharp riffs, chunky lyrics, jokes about sex and a lot of energy and is what you can expect during live shows of these ambitious snot noses.
Downtown District is a young, re-inventive punk rock band from Leiden.
Since its inception, the band has been successfully reinventing the 90's skate punk sound, breaking genre pigeonholes by adding elements of post-hardcore, drum 'n' bass and ska.
All this is done in powerful, eccentric live shows filled with fast drums, sharp riffs, rough lyrics and a shitload of enthusiasm and energy.
The selftitled debut album from April 2018 put the band on the map (inter)nationally. For example, the song "Anti-Social Syndrome" is used in a video by YouTuber Collin Furze, which has been viewed millions of times to date. Which resulted in thousands of streams of the album and hundreds of new regular listeners worldwide.
From squats, backyards and cafes to established
pop venues such as Paradiso, Gebr. de Nobel, P3, Baroeg and festivals like AttitudeFest, Rauwkost and Garage Sounds NL, among others.
To winning the Nobel Award 2018 and live performances in the studio of 3FM.
Downtown District has played it all flat and has no intention of stopping this upward trend.

Very relaxed guys who like a party! Quick soundcheck, good material and very good music. Furthermore, Downtown District is interactive with the audience and they know how to make people who don't like rock enjoy themselves. These guys know how to play and use this to make your party 10 times fatter!
