Hello, my name is Tom Cherry. I have been in the music business since 2010, full-time since 2015. On my musical journey I have played at festivals such as: Solar, Down The Rabbit Hole (3x), Vierdaagsefeesten Nijmegen(5 years and counting), DÂK Rotterdam and so on, and so on. Currently I am frontman in two bands: The Eastway, the other band bears my name; Tom Cherry and The Tennessee Three.
Since childhood I have been influenced by men like: Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. So these names are invariably in my cover repertoire. My own work comes from my everyday life. Trivial things like that time your mom lost your playstation controller, to the old country cliché:
your girlfriend cheating.
Interaction with the audience is what I like most about a show; starting with a soft background ballad and by the end the room is screaming along with "Great Balls of Fire Does this not happen? Then I have failed in my eyes. Fortunately, then, in 7 years, from retirement home to festival, there has not been a gig where people did not go out of their respective roofs.
The price given is an indication. Performances after 00:00 get an additional charge of -+ €20 per hour. Sound engineering can be booked in addition if necessary for +-€120.
You will see that I have not made a selection in provinces, occasions or days. I played a birthday on a Tuesday, a funeral on Wednesday and a pub in The Hague on Thursday. It is my passion, dream and work. I will continue this as long as I can.
