I'm Olaf Bosman, a Singer-songwriter from Utrecht. The music I mainly play solo is contemporary folk/pop music. I like to touch people with my music and I like it when I can move other people with the songs I play.
With my style, you can think of artists like RY X, Tom Odell and Ben Howard. I find it important to be able to carry the mood with my music. Whether in the foreground or background, the music I play is appropriate. Think of the layer that conversations during drinks can add unnoticed but is missed when you take it away. I enjoy performing and I find the smaller the setting I play in, the more intimate and beautiful the atmosphere becomes.
When I was 5 years old my niece gave me a keyboard and I played it almost every day from then on. When I was eight years old I was introduced to singing by a church choir in
the neighborhood. There I learned my basics for singing. When I was twelve I decided to combine my piano playing and singing. Before my 16th birthday my parents gave me private singing lessons with Lieve Geuens, a jazz singing teacher at the Conservatory in Amsterdam. Because of her I started performing more and more. I have also been writing my own songs ever since. I first took lessons with Jaco Benckhuijsen, a songwriting teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Meanwhile, I graduated in vocals from the Herman Brood Academy and have been studying Music and Technology at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht since 2021. I also fill the role as keyboardist and backing vocalist with the Dutch-language pop artiste Meau. In short, everything revolves around music and I love to share that passion with others.
The given price is for a performance of 60 minutes, consisting of 2 sets of 25 minutes + a break. Technique is included. Both shorter and longer performances are possible. Leave your specific wishes in the application!

For hours I searched the internet for a special, warm, male voice for our wedding. And there he was, Olaf! With his first word he sang, he had me. Goosebumps! Olaf has made our day extra special. A week (!!) before our wedding I contacted him to ask if he would please come and play as a surprise for my boyfriend (by now husband ;-)) during the ceremony.
