Live music can add atmosphere, intensity and class to any occasion. Every occasion is different so each performance is customized. I determine repertoire, volume and structure in service of the moment, taking into account wishes and preferences.
I can switch between jazz and classical, pop and world music, lounge and sing-alongs, background and foreground. I know many thousands of songs, and play requests from all genres. I can accompany singers and instrumentalists (and bring my own if desired).
I can play hours of quiet background music at a dinner party. Or a few beautiful listening pieces at a wedding ceremony. Create a musical soundscape at an exhibition opening. Or one request after another at a merry get-together.
As a musician, you have to sense which music is appropriate, present yourself professionally to the guests and move with the dynamics of the moment. With music you can help people feel at ease, touch them, excite them or, on the
contrary, make them relax.
When I was 16, I had my first job as a pianist in a restaurant in Amsterdam. Since then I have provided countless restaurants, theaters, concert halls, recording studios and living rooms with music. From Sweden to India, from Lowlands to the concert hall, from international conferences to cozy weddings.
The price given is for a one and a half hour performance and is an indication. There must be an acoustic piano or grand piano at the venue.
