A surprising workshop perfect for a company outing, team-building day, school activity, or event!

Foley Art Workshop – Create Your Own Movie Sounds!

A movie without sound? Suddenly, there’s surprisingly little left! During our Foley Art Workshop, you’ll discover just how important sound is to the atmosphere and experience of a movie.

You’ll be shown video clips from which the original sound has been removed. Then it’s up to you to bring these images back to life.

Working in small teams, you’ll search for suitable sounds. And you can use just about anything to do so. A set of keys, a coffee cup, a chair, a piece of paper, tools, your hands, feet, or your own voice: with Foley Art, an everyday object can suddenly produce the perfect sound effect.

Using iPads, you’ll record the sounds and add them to the video clip. Sometimes a sound needs to be as realistic as possible, but of course, you can also go in the completely opposite direction and turn a scene into something hilarious.

The fun part is that you won’t just be sitting at a table. Participants will literally go on a hunt for sounds on location: in the workshop room, in the hallway, outside, or wherever that one perfect sound can be found.

No experience with film, sound, or technology is necessary. It’s all about creative thinking, experimentation, and collaboration. At the end, you’ll watch and listen to each other’s results, of course.

The workshop is perfect for company outings, team-building days, groups of family and friends, and events.
