Acoustic gypsy jazz trio Duende plays atmospheric and swinging background music for any occasion. The name Duende is best described as enthusiasm, the enthusiasm of the musician that gives soul to the music.
The repertoire is an anthology of gypsy jazz favorites from the oeuvre of Django Reinhardt & the Hot Club de France supplemented with swing and Latin jazz standards from the American songbook. The cheerful swing rhythms predominate and are interspersed with inspired bossas, rhumbas, boleros and the occasional waltz.
Duende has a repertoire of up to 3 sets of 45 minutes each. When requesting, select 45 minutes for 1 set, 1.5 hours for 2 sets of 45 minutes (+ 15 minute intermission) or 2.5 hours for 3 sets of 45 minutes (+ 2x 15 minute intermission).
Duende is basically an acoustic trio and can perform completely acoustically if desired, but where possible we like to play slightly amplified to give a
bit more spread to the sound, adjust the volumes of the instruments to each other and adjust the overall volume where necessary. The acoustic character is maintained in the process and conversations remain possible. So make sure that when a venue manager hears the word 'amplification' he does not immediately see a truck full of noise pollution coming. ;-)

Performing as an atmospheric maker at a party is not always as rewarding as being a musician. The party guests chat and laugh through your music, often don't see you standing, every now and then there is one who listens to you.
