A mood creator pur sang. Just as a caricaturist gives you a new look at your own face, The Poetic Consultation gives you a new look at your life. You sit down at the table with the man with the typewriter. After and brief conversation, he starts typing and a moment later reads the personal poem to you. Then: a smile, a tear, a shudder....

The Poetic Consult is: the quick poet David Mulder. He has been writing poems for visitors who come to his table for fifteen years.

The Poetry Escribano is entertainment with depth. My guests get an experience they won't soon forget. In all these years, I have become adept at quickly figuring out what is important in my guest's life. This creates a lively conversation amidst the busy festivities around us.

Every person has their own story, every person has a fascinating emotional life. And when my guest gives me the confidence to return that story in poetic terms, something special happens. Because although it is his own story, yet he is surprised when he gets it back in poetry form. That's because poetry makes you look at your own life with different eyes. It offers an unexpected perspective.

It's not just my immediate guests who benefit from my act. The look of the scene, with the antique typewriter (and its nostalgic sound) adds to the atmosphere at the event. The sight of two people talking to each other so intently makes one curious: "What's going on over there? Is it a consultation? A consultation?' And since the people who receive a poem from me naturally have their friends read it, the reach of each text quickly widens.
