NO EXCUSE – Blues/Rock with a unique, unbridled American edge! Cover band NO EXCUSE is a four-piece blues rock group from Barendrecht, founded in October 2015 by Ed Straatman (frontman & vocals) & Bob Straatman (lead guitar and vocals) – Father & Son
After an intensive search and parting ways with a few previous members, they assembled the ideal lineup with Stephan den Ouden (bass) & Jarno Laupman (drums). In a short time, they had already built up a solid & extensive Blues& Rock repertoire and play a mix of well-known and slightly lesser-known, but awesome covers, just as the originals were perhaps intended, set against a bed of solid bass lines, powerful drums, passionate vocals, and shredding guitar work!!
No Excuse is an energetic four-piece blues-rock cover band that sets the stage ablaze with fat riffs, groovy rhythms, and soulful solos. Expect no excuses, just pure passion for music.
With a repertoire that rocks from Stevie Ray Vaughan to John Mayer, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Creedence Clearwater Revival, and from Kenny Wayne Shepherd to ZZ Top, we bring a unique mix of American blues, rock, and roots—raw, dynamic, and always “straight from the heart.” U2 fans and lovers of classic vibes, among others, will definitely get their money’s worth.
