You can book them for your own event

We see that requests that are answered immediately have a 4 times greater chance of leading to a booking. That's why we've changed our reaction policy:

You will immediately receive an SMS and an email with the details of the application. From here you can quickly send a proposal or ask a question. Make sure to respond immediately.

First reminder

You will receive a first reminder email indicating that you have 1 hour left to respond. After this it influences your findability on the website. Artists who respond immediately will be rewarded in the search result.

After 4 hours: you have passed the 4 hour norm. From now on, your reaction speed has consequences for your findability on ShowBird.

Second reminder

You will receive a second reminder email after 8 hours to respond. Prevent the application from being withdrawn and let the customer know where he/she stands.

Request withdrawn

You have not responded within 24 hours and ShowBird assumes that you are inactive. The application will be withdrawn and your account will be deactivated.

Night hours do not count

We understand that customers also make requests at night. The period between 22:00 and 08:00 is therefore not included in this process.
Example: You receive a request at 23:00 in the evening. The timer starts running again at 08:00. At 11:00 (3 hours later) you will receive a first reminder email.

Why we are doing this

Customers who are processing a request expect a quick response. They often make multiple requests, so that you as an artist have the best chance if you respond immediately. At the same time, we have many inactive users who do not respond in a timely manner or even not at all. We as a platform also suffer from this, because customers drop out or think that the system does not work. We therefore ask for your commitment to convert as many requests as possible into an actual booking.

FAQs

'What if I don't know yet if I'm available, or have to ask band members if they are available?'
It's nice for customers to know that you're doing something with their request. If you do not yet know whether you can, it is sufficient to indicate that you will let them know as soon as you know, a.e. that same evening.

'How does it work when I'm on vacation?'
We understand that you are not constantly busy with your planning while on vacation. We just ask that you let the customer know when you get back to him/her. This way the customers can decide for themselves whether he/she wants to wait for this.
