Celtic Folk Music Duo 'The Bee in the Box' consists of Annemarie de Bie and Erik de Jong. Both have been professionally active in the Irish and Scottish traditional music world for many years. This collaboration results in a beautiful act that creates a perfect Celtic atmosphere.

Annemarie de Bie and Erik de Jong together form the Celtic music duo 'The Bee in the Box'. This versatile duo plays Scottish and Irish folk on guitar, accordion, vocals, Irish flute, bodhrán and whistle. Annemarie and Erik met each other during traditional Irish music sessions at Traditional Irish Music Pub O'Ceallaigh in Groningen. Both have made this style of music (for the most part) their profession. Annemarie also plays a lot of solo as Celtann and with the band Fling. Erik also plays in a large number of other formations. Together they also play in the larger formation The Assassenachs.

The music is both subdued and exuberant and consists of songs and instrumental dance music. Annemarie sings in both English and Gaelic. On this page some examples can be found. There are numerous occasions and locations where their music fits well, such as weddings, company parties, theatres, living room concerts, birthdays, dinners, ceremonies, receptions, churches, festivals, concert halls, studios, etc. They can also accompany ceili(dh).
