Multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer Edsel is no stranger to the entertainment world. Already at the age of 12 he and his brothers form the incredibly popular Tipiko Juliet in the Caribbean. In the 80's he comes to the Netherlands. What follows is his own salsa orchestra Saljuco. His salsa sessions at De Kluis and De Kroeg in Amsterdam were also highly regarded at that time

In this period, however, the Caribbean has not forgotten him and in the meantime he scores several number 1 hits with compositions like Dalé ku awa, Ik ben geen tol, E kilo di Lanto, No ta mi falta and much more. In the meantime he is touring in Europe with his orchestra and he knows how to put Salsa and Latin Caribbean Music on the European map like no other

But Edsel's passion for authentic salsa the so-called Quaracha remains! He wants to give professional musicians a platform to make salsa music together in a relaxed atmosphere. Salsa as it is meant to be: pure and honest! In 2017 he introduces Edsel Juliet & His Salsa Session Band. First on his island of birth Curacao at Mundo Bizarro in the entertainment center Pietermaai. These performances are immediately a great success. In 2018 the Netherlands follows: Amsterdam, Hoorn and Nijmegen and soon in Rotterdam and The Hague

Edsel Juliet & His Salsa Session Band doesn't go unnoticed: what follows are various television recordings at live performances and is the band asked for on television broadcasts such as Pauw (June 2018) and Top 2000 a gogo (December 2018)
Edsel Juliet & His Salsa Session Band consists of a basic band of 7 professional musicians, including Edsel and bring the best of salsa music. Classics as well as their own compositions pass the musical revue. The interaction with the musicians and the audience is paramount and that makes every performance a party. Several musicians join the performances and it may be that instead of 7 people more musicians are playing. All this makes a performance of Edsel Juliet & His Salsa Session Band time and again unique because often new compositions or arrangements are created on the spot.

The music of Edsel Juliet & His Salsa Session Band has a message. During a performance it's not only about good music but also the show element, the entertainment, the cooperation between the musicians and the interaction with the audience finish it off!
