RED! stands for energetic, passionate, heady and sexy. RED is a band with two experienced musicians and two emerging super talents. Their sound is uplifting, vibrant and energetic, reflecting the tradition of the 1950s in their own quirky originals. Soulful jazz with a great Hammond organ sound, the classic combination of trumpet and tenor saxophone and American swinging drums.

In the spotlight are trumpeter Ellister van der Molen and the very talented saxophonist Gideon Tazelaar, while organist Bob Wijnen and drummer Wouter Kühne form the engine of this steamy band. The solo careers of all four musicians are impressive, but as a team they really make a difference. Their debut CD Ahooo! received a 4.5 star review in the Dutch Jazz glossy 'Jazzism'.
