Erik Hulzebosch is the Dutch discovery of 2007. Book Erik now on Showbird!

Convincingly he won the final of the SBS6 programme 'So You Wanna Be A Popstar'. With his rendition of songs like 'We Will Rock You' and 'The Clown' he stole the hearts of the TV-watching audience and eventually went home with the coveted record deal. His first single 'Ecstasy' was immediately good for a top 2 hit and also his new debut album goes like a rocket. A performance by Erik guarantees half an hour of feast of recognition for young and old. Dutch conviviality at its best.

Prior to his participation in So You Wanna Be A Popstar Erik was of course mainly known as a skater. Until he was 15 years old he was the winner of about 300 bicycle cross competitions. As a boy, he often appeared on TV. In 1987 Erik made his marathon debut and in 1996 he prepared himself completely for the Elfstedentocht. He worked in the meadows near Gramsbergen and trained on natural ice in the dark.

Erik has always been a crowd pleaser. That's why he was also the biggest favorite for winning the Elfstedentocht in 1997. Erik is not a tactician. At the start of a race he puts his mind to zero and keeps on pounding until the fuel runs out.

At the beginning of 1997 Erik also had the biggest carnival cracker with the song 'Hulzebosch' and he could often be seen and heard on TV and radio.

Right now, his singing career is going like a spear. He was high on the charts with several singles and performs several times a week.
