We are a reggae band from Amsterdam with professional reggae musicians. We love what we do and always put our heart into it. Request numbers are possible, we also have our own reggae songs. We can take you to the reggae sound from 1975-1981, when the sound was a mix of roots, rock and reggae.

The band consists of the following members:

Tjerk & Friends play summery music: reggae with the occasional jazzy, ska or folk-like singer-songwriter outing. In 2012 Tjerk participated in X-Factor. Tjerk and his relatively new band Liquid Sunshine already performed at Zwarte Cross Festival 2015.

Biography
Guitarist/singer Tjerk Schoonheim has been active in the music world since 1994 and has walked various music paths since then. He played in various bands and in 2001 he made a crossover between afro-cuban / rap / reggae with the band Youngblood. That same year he won the Grand Prix of South Holland and was defeated in the finals of Region West by Ali B.
From 2002 to 2004 Tjerk worked together with the German dance producer Mark 'Oh, with whom he won the top 10 of the German charts several times. He performed in a.o. Austria, Germany and Ibiza.
From 2003 to 2008 Tjerk played in the Moroccan band Kasba, from 2006 to 2011 in the reggae band Tribute 2 Bob Marley and regularly toured abroad with both bands. Because of this, Tjerk came into contact with the most diverse musicians and developed further as a singer/guitarist.

In 2010 Tjerk collaborated with Kayaman on his solo album Tulpenmanie and in 2011 he had a modest summer radio hit that was only picked up by radio 538 (Edwin Evers) in the fall. Tjerk decided to join the X-Factor in 2012, got the first three elimination rounds, but got stuck in the elimination round just before the live shows.
Since 2015 Tjerk enters the stage with his band Liquid Sunshine, they performed at the Zwarte Cross Festival. Let yourself be enchanted by the warm vibes of Tjerk & Liquid Sunshine, surf along on the sound waves and let the current do the work.
