Tim Kerssies stands for an acoustic and honest sound. Jazz with influences from folk music running from the Netherlands via the Mediterranean Sea to South America. The romantic sound of the accordion with an accompaniment that balances between vulnerability and virtuosity.
In 2016 Tim Kerssies released his debut album 'Cammello' and hasn't been sitting still ever since. He was a guest at Radio 6, Radio Rijnmond and the Radio 1 programme Kunststof to talk about his album. He performs at home and abroad, and has collaborated with, among others, the legendary jazz drummer John Engels. He also gives workshops and has played music for the cinema film 'Een Echte Vermeer' about master forger Han van Meegeren.
Tim Kerssies can be booked as a duo with double bass.
