Virtuoso gypsy jazz featuring violin, guitar, and double bass.
Centre Ville performs the original lyrical music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. With their Hot Club de France quintet, these two were the pioneers of gypsy swing, also known as Manouche music—the quintessential Parisian jazz of the 1930s and 1940s. It’s now wildly popular again, thanks in part to the Rosenberg Trio.
