Beechcraft Bonanza knows musical style of '50s and '60s blues and pop like the back of its hand.
Whether it's Buddy Holly-like pop-rock, Rockabilly stompers, swinging jump blues or straight up Country, Beechcraft Bonanza will rock you out of your socks on 4 strings with 3 chords, bringing a fresh take on a nostalgic sound.
Beechcraft Bonanza is the pseudonym of s(w)inger songwriter Guido Kreeuseler (b. 1983). In a
swinging set-up with tenor ukulele and stompbox, this one-man band sings his
Americana songs in a style indebted to Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash and Big Joe Turner.
In addition to great original work, Beechcraft Bonanza also plays an extensive repertoire of covers from the
fifties and sixties.
Beechcraft Bonanza has already performed at several small- and medium-sized festivals, such as Trek, Little New Orleans, MadNes and Blues at the Haven, which may certainly be followed up in 2024.
Also notable was the "A Different Elvis Concert" in Gebouw-T in Bergen-op-Zoom (2019) and the latest EP "POP!" on which Beechcraft plays Blues versions of well-known 80's and 90's pop classics.
In early 2024,
Beechcraft Bonanza began production on the next Full-Length release, a live LP that will be recorded in his hometown of Almere.
On this album, the idiosyncratic artist delves deeper into his Indian roots through the use of Gamelan scales and Kroncong chords. Here and there the work gets a little folkier, but still with a swinging Americana sauce.
