I reinterpret carefully selected Irish folk songs and Celtic melodies in my own, heartfelt style.

With heartfelt, intimate arrangements for vocals, guitar, flute/tin whistle, shruti box, and optional live looping, I create an atmospheric and emotionally moving performance: a distinctive acoustic choice for events that call for atmosphere and authenticity.

With expressive vocals, fingerstyle guitar, Irish flute, tin whistle, shruti box, and optional live looping, I create a refined, atmospheric Celtic sound. This is ideal for venues such as listening venues, acoustic stages, cultural events, weddings, and intimate concerts.

I can perform entirely acoustically or use a looping setup. The music can serve as background music for an event, but it can also provide a more focused listening experience when the audience comes specifically for the performance.

I offer sets ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, priced from 250 to 450 euros; other durations are negotiable.

Bábóg is the acoustic solo project of Ruth Keenan, an Irish multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. Inspired by Irish folk songs and Celtic melodies, Ruth carefully selects pieces that evoke feelings of longing, tenderness, sadness, and other deep emotions, then reimagines them with her own contemporary twist.

The captivating vocals and the refined interplay of guitar, flute, whistle, and shruti box take the listener on an emotional, musical journey that is intimate and evocative, and deeply rooted in Irish tradition.
