The Show:
René Meijer’s “The Amazing Meezing Show+” is a wonderfully varied show featuring familiar Dutch and English-language songs from days gone by. The show features big hits from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s. Think of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Roy Orbison, The Cats, The Everly Brothers, Michael Bublé, Engelbert Humperdinck, Eric Clapton, and many others. Or songs by Robert Long, Boudewijn de Groot, Wim Sonneveld, Toon Hermans, Gerard Cox, Rob de Nijs, and songs from the famous classic “Ja Zuster Nee Zuster” by Annie M.G. Schmidt and Harry Bannink. An afternoon or evening with René flies by. René has now performed more than 800 “Amazing Meezing Shows+” in the years since the pandemic. René also offers a variety of themes, such as: Country, Rock & Roll, Christmas, Cabaret, and much more. René can move around wirelessly with his guitar and vocals while a backing band plays. René also performs many guitar solos himself, which makes the performance even more dynamic.

The Artist:
René has been active as a singer/guitarist for over 40 years. He has performed countless times both in the Netherlands and abroad. He has won various awards, including an award for Best Country Album and Best Country Song (2014) in the Netherlands. With his beautiful, warm voice, he can perform a variety of musical styles at a high level. Be sure to check out his original Dutch-language songs on Spotify, ranging from serious to hoempapa.

René can also be booked for a funeral to, for example, perform the deceased’s favorite song in an appropriate manner.

Price:
For a performance consisting of two 45-minute sets within a two-hour timeframe, René charges €325, excluding VAT and travel expenses at 0.25 ct per km. Any parking fees will also be charged.
If you’d like an extra hour—consisting of 45 minutes of performance and a 15-minute break—there’s an additional charge of €100.
If you’d like 2 extra hours, there’s an additional charge of €200.
René performs a maximum of 4 sets of 45 minutes. This can be spread out over an entire day; in that case, please inquire about the price for a full day on location.
