An atmospheric musical journey full of recognition, warmth and fond memories!
Retourtje Toen is a musical journey back to the beautiful memories of the past. Get on this Nostalgic Song Train with Hans and enjoy the varied 'Musical View'!
With his warm voice and guitar, Hans brings a special program full of Dutch songs and sing-alongs from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Songs that touch, move and above all: bring memories to life.
From Rob de Nijs, Johnny Jordaan, Wim Sonneveld, Louis Davids, Dorus and Willy Alberti to The Ramblers, the Selvera's, Eddie Christiani, Max van Praag and even the timeless sounds of Vera Lynn - they all pass by in an attractive and recognizable program.
"How nice ... I used to know that song!"
"I really hadn't heard that in years..."
These are reactions
that often come back when the first notes sound. Because this music opens doors to forgotten moments, childhood memories and familiar feelings of the past.
Hans enjoys performing in nursing homes, care hotels, care centers, hospices and hospitals. Everywhere where a musical helping hand is welcome and where a warm, cozy atmosphere can mean something extra.
Also very suitable for activities of the Zonnebloem, Alzheimer Cafés or meetings with seniors who still know these songs from their own youth.
Intimate, personal and with room for contact with the audience - especially in smaller groups the music is at its best. Of course you can always sing along, gladly even.
A selection of the repertoire:
Het Dorp - Kleine Greetje uit de Polder - Daar bij de Waterkant - Geef mij maar Amsterdam - Aan de Amsterdamse grachten - Ik stuur je 'n bouquet rode rozen - Het kleine café aan de haven - Ik hou van Holland - Poen, poen, poen... and much more.
A performance by Hans is more than just music - it's a meeting with memories that are allowed to come back all over again.
Everything is negotiable, price, playing time, travel costs, travel distance, budget etc.
Song requests on request.
We always work it out together!
Playtime usually 1 hour, shorter (minimum 30 minutes) or longer (maximum 2 hours) of course possible, everything in consultation.
Surroundings Utrecht, further away on request.
Who is Hans?
I am Singer-guitarist and Entertainer.
Each Chanson, each Song is a Story in itself.
In fact I am a Musical Storyteller!
I have over 40 years of experience with different types of music, jazz, dixieland, dinner music, as well as party music at large weddings and parties.
From my youngest years I have also done a lot of romantic listening songs, close harmony, cabaret and drama.
And singing.....that's what I've been doing all my life!
I am a true Nostalgic Troubadour!
("I may have been born too late......")!
You can safely say that performing and entertaining is in my blood and I still do this with great passion and pleasure!
