Johann Sebastian Bach's beautiful, moving St. Matthew Passion has had a special, shortened and very accessible version in the Netherlands for over 12 years: the Mini St. Matthew.
10 professional vocalists, accompanied by piano and violin, perform their own intimate version of the St. Matthew Passion. A shortened classical version of up to an hour and a half, in which the well-known parts, such as the Erbarme dich, the thunder and lightning, and the moving final chorus, are certainly not missing. All the beauty will pass by.

A performance that captures the imagination and is guaranteed to appeal to (many) audiences.
In the Mini Matthäus the emphasis is on the harmony and interaction between the voices and the Passion that is brought to life in an appealing way. The audience is literally "sucked" into the story, so close, as it were.
