During his English-language college education in International Media & Entertainment Management, he worked in the port of Rotterdam, where he adopted the "don't bullshit, but clean" mentality. His career in the media began as a producer at Radio 538. Within five years, he grew to become host of the popular late night show "Bas & Dylan. In 2022 and 2024 he was nominated for the Marconi Award for Emerging Talent and also in 2024 for a Golden RadioRing. Proof of his rapid rise in the media world.
