Cuarteto Tangata, consisting of 4 musicians, specialized in Argentine tango for many years. They interpret in their own way the tango music of tango maestros such as: Piazzolla, Plaza, Pugliese, Troilo, Salgan, Cobian etc. Cuarteto Tangata also plays their own tango composition written by Margreet Markerink, the quartet's pianist.
In 2008 she, Margreet Markerink, won the first Choclo composition prize for new Argentine tango music. In 2017 she released the album "Moving Friends". An album full of new compositions of her own.
Melancholy, melancholy, but also exuberant and driving rhythms make Cuarteto Tangata's performances a feast for the ear. Collaboration with the Argentine singer José Rivero and the Dutch singer Jeannine Geerts give the performances extra colour and feast.
