Trio Tangata consisting of 3 musicians, specialized in Argentine tango for many years. They interpret in their own way the tango music of tango maestros like: Piazzolla, Plaza, Pugliese, Troilo, Salgan, Cobian etc. Trio Tangata also plays their own tango composition written by Margreet Markerink, the trio's pianist.
In 2008 she, Margreet Markerink, won the first Choclo composition prize for new Argentine tango music.
Melancholy, melancholy, but also exuberant and driving rhythms make the performances of Trio Tangata a feast for the ear. Collaboration with the Argentine singer José Rivero and the Dutch singer Jeannine Geerts give the performances extra colour and feast.
